New revised version is available for Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE3 LiveDVD. Also, we are introducing a Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE4 LiveDVD R1!

Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE3 LiveDVD R1 has received important security and stability updates. This updates include new versions of the KDE, X.org Server, Pidgin, ALICE, Openssh & OpenSSl, Mozilla Firefox/Thunderbird/SeaMonkey, Bind, Amarok and many more. Release delayed and more news

I'm delaying the Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE4 LiveDVD release because the KDE 4.1.1 is out and we like to have it in the final version of the LiveDVD. Yucatan "Kenjiro" Costa already built the packages and shortly will upload it to the 3'rd packages repository. Thanks again Kenjiro!

Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE4 LiveDVD RC1 released

I have the joy announcing a new version of the Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE4 LiveDVD release candidate one.

This release is built on a fresh install of the standard version of Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 and includes all patches packages from the patches directory and the newly released KDE 4.1. Also, in addition to this release, we have added KDE4 applications like Amarok 1.90, Guidance Power Manager 4.1.0, Krusader 2.0.0, Ktorrent 3.1.2, KDE3 runtime libraries which allows you to run KDE3 applications, and many more. Take a look at the KDE4 LiveDVD ChangeLog to see more details about the added packages and see the Gallery with some nice captures.

Two years of Bluewhite64 Linux, two new releases. I am delighted to announce the availability of Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 LiveDVD and Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 Flash (LiveUSB)!

The Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 Flash is specially designed to run entirely from a USB Flash Pen Drive with the possibility to choose your working environment from the beginning: Command Line Interface (CLI - recommended for servers) and/or Graphical User Interface (GUI - recommended for Desktop computers).

The "save changes" feature has been improved and enabled by default in this new version of Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 Flash. It is done using "bw64save.dat" file which is a compressed image of empty loop XFS file system. Depending of the Pen Drive size, you will have different space size for saving your changes: for 2GB there is 375MB, for the 4GB is 2375MB, for the 8GB is 6395MB and for 32GB is 30400MB space available. Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1-rc2 released

We are reached the second release candidate of the upcoming stable release of Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1. Since the first RC, we have upgraded the Linux Kernel to version 2.6.24.5, added the latest stable Linux Kernel 2.6.25 in to the testing area and made it available as a test.s kernel during installation. Also, added the IA32 emulation for those who need to run 32-bit programs, this can be found in the extra software repository. Many other small cosmetic fixes has been merged. Please see the ChangeLog for more details.

There is a DVD iso available for download from the primary mirror, other mirrors should be updated soon.

Also, you can download via BitTorrent too.

Please TEST, TEST and TEST as much as you can and post the possible problems to the forum
